I remember when I bought the IQ Standalone SDR years ago and now there are several new features you have added that did not exist back then. The only time I have ever seen near-perfect decoding is when the CW is machine generated, such as the ARRL CW bulletins. The biggest factor I see is that human sending of CW is highly variable and that is the greatest hurdle to overcome.

I have looked at several devices and software that are made for CW decoding and none of them can decode bad sending or conditions.

I can copy CW by ear and only see the feature as a backup though no more reliable than by ear. You added the CW decoder “for fun” and that’s exactly how I viewed it – a nice free feature add-on.

As several have pointed out, a perfect CW decoder device is likely to never exist, at least not for what people are willing to pay. Don’t be bothered by the complaints about a CW decoder that isn’t perfect.
